چکیده
Abstract Most studies on the flood flow characteristics at a crossing focus channels connected orthogonally or right angle, but non-orthogonally remain limited. In this study, hydraulic-model experiments and numerical simulations are performed to analyze of water-surface variation in around four flat channels. Comparison measured simulated water depth distributions indicates that results relatively good agreement. experiment where angle between two upstream is 45°, pattern corresponds approximately Type I proposed by Mignot et al. (2008). However, it was found there no any type correspond case 135°. For analyzing with inflow, simulation setting inflow ratio inlet one, three, six, respectively.

An experimental investigation of rheological characteristics of non- Newtonian nanofluids
Rheological characteristics of Al2O3, CuO and TiO2 nano particles were investigated in oil asthe base fluid at 1 and 2 wt.%. Constitutive relations for non-Newtonian fluid were discussedbased on the power-law model. Measured viscosities of each nanofluid were used to evaluatethe power-law and consistency index. Results indicated that the nanofluid viscosity decreasedby increasing the concentrat...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Dynamic Characteristics of Joined Steel and Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Tubes: Experimental and Numerical Investigation
The fundamental frequencies and mode shapes of steel and carbon fiber–reinforced plastic (CFRP) cylindrical shells with steel inserts were investigated using finite element analysis and modal testing. The free-free boundary condition was tested with modal testing using the roving hammer method and verified by finite element analysis using ABAQUS. The results show good agreement between the test...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation and Optimizing Geometrical Characteristics and Surface Quality in Drilling of AISI H13 Steel
The aim of this paper is to investigate and optimize surface quality and geometrical characteristics in drilling process of AISI H13 steel, because they are critical items for precision manufacturing. After conducting the experiments, two regression models are developed to extensively evaluate the effect of drilling parameters on process outputs. After that, evolutionary multi-objective optimiz...
متن کاملAnalytical and Numerical Investigation of Four-roll Bending
Four-roll bending process is usually used for manufacturing of seamed thick-walled and thin-walled cylinders. Due to complexity of this process, the analytical solution of plate bending in this process has not been developed completely. The existence of friction and multi-step processing makes it more difficult. Investigation of four-roll bending process using analytical and numerical methods i...
